Who we are

A Mauritian association, for anyone facing breast cancer

Breast Cancer Care is a non-profit association in Mauritius. We stand by the women and men affected by breast cancer — from awareness and early detection, through treatment, to recovery.

  • Awareness and education

Talks, campaigns and outreach across the island on regular self-examination, and on why finding a change early changes everything.

  • Support

A listening ear, guidance and the company of people who have been through it, for patients and for their families.

  • Advocacy

Working so that everyone in Mauritius can reach screening and care while it still makes a difference.

PinkPulse

A monthly self-check, guided

PinkPulse walks you through the check, reminds you when the next one is due, and helps you notice a change early. It works without a connection, and your answers stay on your phone.

  1. Do the check

The app takes you through the self-examination one step at a time, in your own language.

  2. Get reminded

It tells you when the next monthly check is due, so a month does not quietly become a year.

  3. Tell someone

If you notice a change, the app sends a follow-up request straight to a PinkPulse coordinator.

  • Works offline — no connection needed
  • Your answers never leave your phone
  • In English, French and Kreol Morisien
  • Free, with no account to create

If you have found something

Noticing a change is not the same as having cancer, and most changes turn out to be harmless. But it is always worth having someone look. Speak to a doctor, or ask us — the app has a follow-up form that reaches a PinkPulse coordinator directly.
